Reserves Appreciation Dinner - June 10, 2017
On June 10th the Palm Beach Council recognized eight reservists who were mobilized this past year. Chief Graham accepted the awards on behalf of the reservists as most of them were redeployed. This year's dinner was held at Lake Worth Golf Club.
Youth Appreciation Dinner - April 29, 2017
The Palm Beach Council sponsors four Youth Groups. Every year we like to recognize three of their outstanding cadets. With the recognition is the plaque and $100.00 from the award sponsor. This year's dinner was held at Bear Lakes Country Club.
Hall of Fame Award to Phil Savage - April 26, 2017
Phil Dunmire presented the Palm Beach Council Hall of Fame Award this morning to Phil Savage to recognize his WWII service and many years of service to the Navy League Palm Beach Council.

A Palm Beach Council members team, led by Bill Waylett (VP Legislative Affairs), visited Representative Brian Mast in his Stuart, FL office April 7th. Bill presented the Navy League overview and priorities briefing, and Ken an Lou presented an appreciation plaque from the Palm Beach Council.

Lynn Atkinson Navy League Area President Visits Palm Beach - February 09, 2017
Our Area President and National Committee Member Lynn Atkinson Drucker M.D.(r) Wows the PBC with her extensive history and support of the Navy League and Sea Cadets. Actually it was the USNSCC Honor, Commitment and Courage 5K Run/Walk that is so impressive because she runs it in. Area president started this event and it continues to thrive as one of the highlights for the SE Region Sea Cadets.

Over 70 Palm Beach Council Navy Leaguers turned out for a fun and delicious lunch at the beautiful Sandpiper’s Cove Restaurant in North Palm Beach.
We had several orders of business to attend to beyond just having another fun Navy League luncheon in a nice setting. First order of business was the formal installation of Officers & Directors for calendar year 2017, and our guest of honor Chad Jenkins did the honors of swearing in the outstanding group of leaders for the coming year ….. thanks, Chad!
Sailfish Club Luncheon And Elections for 2017 - December 15, 2016
The Palm Beach Council again enjoyed the lovely holiday atmosphere of the Sailfish Club in Palm Beach, and we had a record turnout of 85 members and guests.
Club manager Michael Nadeau and staff provided outstanding support before and during this event, which included the club’s fantastic Tuesday Buffet.

Navy Reserves Appreciation Dinner - June 18, 2016
Over forty Palm Beach Council members gathered at the Beach Club at Lake Worth Golf Course to salute our local Navy Reservists who had deployed overseas and returned over the past year. Council member Bob Crippen sponsored the award for Senior Chief Petty Officer John Lavery, who had deployed (again!) to Afghanistan in 2014-2015.
4th ANGLICO - USMC Reserves Change of Command - June 17, 2016
LtCol Ronnie Goode relieved LtCol Andrew Kelley as the Inspector-Instructor of the 4th ANGLICO Marine Corps Reserves at the Navy-Marine Reserve Center on Friday, June 17.
With the assitance of the 1st Sergeant, the unit colors were transferred in a formal ceremony as
family members and 4th ANGLICO marines looked on.

Commander Trent Westhoff, Commanding Officer of the Navy Operational Support in Center in West Palm Beach (NOSC, WPB) was our guest speaker and he was introduced by our own Navy Reserve VIP, Captain Dan Pedrick.

Veterans Day Luncheon North Palm Beach Country Club - November 11, 2015
A fine crowd of nearly fifty Palm Beach Council members convened for a monthly luncheon, with a tribute to Veterans Day and to our recently passed Council President Jack Hanscom.

NOSC - West Palm Beach Change of Command
Council Members Ken Lee, Dan Pedrick and Jerry Nelinson attended the Oct 17th Change of Command at Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC), where LCDR Steven Johnson was relieved by new Commanding Officer CDR Trent Westhoff.
Palm Beach Council Welcomes New NOSC - West Palm Beach Commanding Officer
Incoming NOSC West Palm Beach Commanding Officer Commander (John) Trent Westhoff received a council Challenge Coin from Council Executive VP Ken Lee. Council NOSC Liaison Officer Dan Pedrick and Ken hosted both incoming and outgoing (LCDR Steve Johnson) NOSC leaders at an informal luncheon on Thursday at ER Bradley’s on Flagler.
Our New Sea Cadet Chief Petty Officer Cadet CPO Alina Montenegro
Palm Beach Naval Sea Cadet Alina Montenegro completed the rigorous requirements for advancement to Cadet Chief Petty Officer and was “frocked” into her new position by serving Chief Petty Officers at NOSC West Palm Beach.
Welcome Back Social at the PORT OF PALM BEACH
Our Navy League Palm Beach Council had a strong turnout for a our Fall Welcome Back Social, held this year at the Port of Palm Beach administrative offices.
This meeting was a return to the Port for our council. We’ve had meetings there several times over the past few years and are fortunate to have the Port of Palm Beach as a long-time Community Affiliate member of our council.

Palm Beach Council visits new 2015 version UDT-SEAL Museum & Memorial, Fort Pierce, FL
The Palm Beach Council made a group visit to the recently revamped UDT-SEAL Museum & Memorial. The new section is very impressive with its Blackhawk helo, Captain Phillips lifeboat, scores of SEAL and captured weapons, outstanding short videos, and touchscreens to get additional information at each display.

AmVets Sea Cadets - Change of Command at NOSC-WPB - June 30, 2015
NOSC Headquarters was the place to be on TUesday, June 30 as over 75 Sea Cadets, family members, dignitaries and guests gathered to witnesss the Change of Command ceremonies for our council-sponsored AmVets Division of the Naval Sea Cadets Corps.

On this past “off” weekend, Council President Jack (& Jianying) Hanscom spent time with the Palm Beach Sea Cadets, as they were engaged in some snorkeling training under the Blue Heron Bridge. For some reason Jack turned down C.O. LT Gary Potts’ offer of a delicious MRE for lunch.

Navy League - MOAA Intracoastal Cruise - February 22, 2015
Once again we had a nice turnout of Palm Beach Council members join the Palm Beach-Martin County Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) for a 2-hr brunch cruise out of Delray. Council President Jack Hanscom reported that the cruise included wonderful weather, great scenery, birds, mangroves, Glen Ridge Golf Course, million-dollar mobile homes and multi-million dollar new construction.
